Rosoboronexport unveils their combat scout-attack helicopter KA-52E

In an interview with Defenshere.com, the officials of the Russian company Rosoboronexport presented their combat scout-attack helicopter KA-52E and Item 305E light multipurpose guided missile.

Besides the helicopters’ capabilities such as destruction of tanks, armored and non-armored vehicles, enemy’s manpower and adversary helicopters in front line or in tactical depth, it also can provide transfer of target reconnaissance, target distribution and target designation data to other helicopters and ground command posts.

Being a combat proven aerial vehicle, the KA-52E has a maximum take-off weight of 12.2 tons and has a payload capacity of more than 2.9 tons with a service ceiling of 5.500 m.

With an EASA radar, located in the front part of the helicopter, the KA-52E can easily detect tanks or armored vehicles within 30 km. Along with a sight targeting system with an engagement range of 15 km, the Kamov-52E is also equipped with heavy armoring.

The company official also said that the KA-52E is equipped with an optical electronic suppression system which ensures the protection of the vehicle while simultaneously suppressing at least two attacking missiles.

He also highlighted the ejection system which makes the KA-52E the only combat helicopter with an ejection system.

The Item 305E light multipurpose guided missile was also exhibited along with the KA-52E.

The missile provides high precision engagement; while flying closer to the potential target, it can be easily adjusted by the operator to reach direct points such as the roof, window or the door of the potential target.

The Item 305E has also a range of 14.5km.

Lastly, the officials pointed out that the missile is fully tested and combat proven.
