The SOFEX 2024 Defense Industry Fair, held in Aqaba, Jordan, hosted critical collaborations. A strategic cooperation agreement in the field of defense technologies was signed between SDT Space and Defense Technologies Inc. (SDT), one of Türkiye's leading defense industry companies, and the Jordanian Design and Development Bureau (JODDB), which is affiliated to the Jordanian Ministry of Defense.
The agreement was signed by General Manager Ömer Korkut on behalf of SDT. In this context, joint projects will be developed in areas such as simulation systems, ACMI training pods, RF jammer systems, new generation satellite ground station solutions and communication systems.
In a statement to Defensehere, SDT General Manager Omer Korkut emphasized that Jordan is a strategically important market for their company. Korkut also stated that they participated in the Egyptian Aviation and Space Exhibition held in Egypt simultaneously with SOFEX and noted that they aim to make new agreements in the North African market.
SOFEX 2024, which ended today, brought together regional and international defense industry representatives and laid the groundwork for important collaborations to increase security and defense capabilities.
