Prominent Turkish defense industry company HAVELSAN, which operates mostly in software technology, celebrated its 42nd anniversary on Saturday, marking its founding on July 13, 1982.
A part of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (TSKGV), HAVELSAN has grown to become one of Türkiye’s largest technology firms. Over the past four decades, it has continually enhanced its expertise and garnered significant achievements.
HAVELSAN plays a pivotal role in advancing the country’s domestic defense industry and bolstering its global stature as a key player in defense technology.
Renowned as Türkiye’s emerging power, HAVELSAN consistently adds new milestones to its illustrious journey of 42 years.
Some of the work carried out by HAVELSAN includes becoming the main integrator of the combat system for Turkish-built ships destined for Pakistan, marking the largest single-item export in Turkish defense industry history.
HAVELSAN also developed the indigenous ATAK Helicopter Full Mission Simulator, which was delivered to the Air Force Command. Additionally, HAVELSAN signed Türkiye's first cyber security agreement with the NATO Combat and Information Agency.
The indigenous fingerprint recognition system, developed with HAVELSAN engineers' support, has been implemented nationwide by the Interior Ministry.
HAVELSAN produced five distinct Submarine Information Distribution System products for new submarine models and introduced HAVELSAN KOVAN, a next-generation work management system, developed by its engineers.
Furthermore, HAVELSAN manufactured and delivered a parachute simulator to the Turkish Land Forces Command.
HAVELSAN's domestically produced video conferencing product Diyalog and Drive, a secure file storage and sharing platform, are now utilized in online tenders by public institutions.
Moreover, HAVELSAN develops training and maintenance simulators for the National Combat Aircraft MMU.
The company also acquired 49% of ASISGUARD's shares, the developer of Songar, Türkiye's first national armed drone system, which has been integrated into the Turkish Armed Forces' inventory.
ADVENT, the Network Supported Data Integrated Combat Management System, has been selected for use by the Indonesian Navy.
HAVELSAN has also earned a place among Türkiye’s top 500 companies in a recent survey of the country's largest firms.
Additionally, HAVELSAN has secured the contract to modernize Romania's integrated maritime border surveillance system.
The ADVENT Combat Management System and the 76 mm Gun Fire Control System, both developed by HAVELSAN, will be installed on three corvettes being built for the Malaysian Navy. Furthermore, HAVELSAN will supply shooting simulators to the Malaysian Armed Forces and develop the Eastern Mediterranean Vessel Traffic Services System.
To strengthen its presence in the region, HAVELSAN has inaugurated an office in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
