South Korea’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) announced the completion of the development of an armored medical evacuation vehicle, a local media outlet informs, citing DAPA.
Reportedly, the new armored vehicle is designed to safely escort wounded soldiers on the front lines to hospitals and allow them to receive remote medical support on the road. According to the outlet, military ambulances have difficulty providing emergency transport near combat units due to their limited mobility and insufficient protective gear.
DAPA intends to launch mass production of the medical evacuation vehicle to ensure timely delivery to the Army.
