Netherlands plans to acquire Saab’s GlobalEye aircraft

Defense giant Saab announced on Thursday that the Netherlands signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Sweden to procure a Saab GlobalEye Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft.

Reportedly, the parties have not yet entered into a contract, and Saab has not yet received an order from the Netherlands.

GlobalEye is an advanced AEW&C solution with active and passive sensors that provide long-range detection and identification of objects across domains. The aircraft can transmit real-time information to air forces, armies, and navies to enhance situational awareness.
