International Armored Group expands in Türkiye, appoints Emre Özkütük as General Manager

International Armored Group (IAG), a global armored vehicle manufacturer, has announced the appointment of Emre Özkütük as General Manager of its operations in Türkiye, as part of a restructuring of activities and the expansion of its presence in the Turkish market.

Özkütük brings over 30 years of experience, having served in the Turkish Armed Forces before retiring as a Colonel. Following his military career, he held various positions in the defense industry and the private sector, focusing on management and business development.

IAG specializes in developing and manufacturing armored vehicles for military, security, and civilian use, including armored SUVs and VIP vehicles. The company operates manufacturing facilities in the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, and Bulgaria.

Türkiye as a regional hub for production and export

In the upcoming phase, IAG plans to accelerate its activities in Türkiye and strengthen the role of its Turkish facility within the group’s global production network.

The plans include relocating a portion of the manufacturing currently conducted at the company’s facilities in other countries to Türkiye, with the aim of transforming the country into a regional production and export hub.

The company also aims to expand production capacity in Türkiye, develop cooperation with local suppliers, and scale up manufacturing and export operations from Türkiye to markets across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and other international regions.

Özkütük’s appointment comes at a time when IAG seeks to bolster its industrial footprint in Türkiye, leveraging the country’s strategic location and manufacturing capabilities to broaden its operations across regional and global markets.
