El Alamein Airshow 2026 begins: Turkish Stars and Turkish defense industry in Egyptian skies

The El Alamein International Airshow, held in the city of El Alamein, Egypt, has opened its doors.

Alongside the Turkish Stars, major companies of the Turkish defense and aerospace industry such as TUSAŞ, MKE, and ASELSAN are taking part in the exhibition, which is held between September 8 and 10. In the sky, notable platforms such as the Su-57, Rafale, F-16, F-18, Tejas, and A400M will be showcased.

Aerospace and defense meeting at El Alamein

The El Alamein International Airshow 2026 will take place at El Alamein International Airport from September 8 to 10, 2026. The organization, which aims to bring together the global aerospace, defense, and space ecosystems, also features flight demonstrations.

Su-57, Rafale, F-16, and Tejas at the same event

The flight program of the El Alamein Airshow is also quite remarkable. Russia’s fifth-generation Su-57 fighter jet, France’s Rafale fighter aircraft, Spain’s F-18 and A400M platforms, and India’s Tejas fighter jet will participate in the event. The Sarang helicopter display team of the Indian Air Force, Saudi Arabia’s Saudi Hawks, and the United Arab Emirates’ Al Fursan teams will also perform in the skies of El Alamein. Egypt, meanwhile, will participate in the event with its Silver Stars aerobatic team.

Turkish signature at El Alamein

In addition to the Turkish Stars’ aerial display, the presence of TUSAŞ, MKE, and ASELSAN at the exhibition area increases Türkiye’s visibility at the El Alamein Airshow 2026. In the organization where fighter jets and air platforms will particularly come to the forefront, Türkiye will take its place with both its air force capabilities and defense and aerospace industry products. Türkiye’s presence at the exhibition is not limited to companies alone. The Turkish Stars, the aerobatic team of the Turkish Air Force, are also included in the event’s flight schedule. The performances that the Turkish Stars will conduct on September 9 and 10 are among the exhibition’s most notable flight events.

New export and cooperation opportunity for the Turkish defense industry

The El Alamein Airshow does not consist solely of flight demonstrations. The organization aims to be a significant meeting point for companies, military delegations, and industry professionals in the defense, aerospace, and space sectors. Within the scope of the exhibition, avionics, defense electronics, space technologies, and other aerospace solutions will be displayed alongside air platforms. The event will offer companies new cooperation and export opportunities in terms of expansion into the African and Middle Eastern markets. The three-day event, starting on September 8 in El Alamein, will also be closely followed regarding the visibility of Türkiye’s defense and aerospace sector in Egypt and the broader African-Middle Eastern markets.
