ASELSAN’s LGK-82 and LGK-84 laser guidance kits, along with the GÖZDE guidance kit developed in cooperation with TÜBİTAK, successfully hit their targets during an international demonstration at the Konya Karapınar Firing Test Range, with military officials from more than 15 countries in attendance.
Four firings were conducted as part of the demonstration. Two LGK-84 kits were launched from an F-16, while an LGK-82 and a GÖZDE munition were fired from the Bayraktar AKINCI unmanned combat aerial vehicle.
The two LGK-84 munitions struck an armoured personnel carrier and a tank target, while the LGK-82 hit another armoured personnel carrier. The GÖZDE guidance kit was used against a moving target travelling at 50 km/h and successfully struck it.
ASELSAN said all four firings resulted in direct hits.
The demonstration highlighted the LGK-82 and LGK-84’s precision-strike capability against stationary ground targets, while the GÖZDE test demonstrated the kit’s ability to engage high-speed moving targets.
