ADEX 2026 opens in Baku

Azerbaijan’s capital, Baku, is once again bringing together global players in the defense industry. The 6th Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition, ADEX 2026, opened its doors today at Baku Expo Center.

Taking place from September 30 to October 2, ADEX 2026 is being held this year as one of the most widely attended editions in the exhibition’s history. The 15th International Exhibition for Internal Security, Safety and Rescue Equipment, Securex Caspian 2026, is taking place alongside ADEX.

According to figures shared by the organizers on opening day, 53 countries are represented across ADEX and Securex Caspian, with a total of 280 companies and organizations from 30 countries participating. In addition, 59 foreign official delegations from 39 countries are in Baku for ADEX.

14 countries participating with national pavilions

A total of 14 countries are represented with national pavilions at ADEX 2026: Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Czechia, Israel, Italy, Pakistan, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, the United States and Uzbekistan.

U.S. participation at the exhibition stands out this year. Northrop Grumman, SIG SAUER, Lockheed Martin, Vantor and Ondas are participating in ADEX for the first time, while Germany’s Rheinmetall and Rohde & Schwarz and the United Kingdom’s BAE Systems are also among the exhibition’s new participants. Türkiye has the largest participation at ADEX 2026.

Leading Turkish defense industry companies, including Roketsan, ASELSAN, Baykar, TUSAŞ and HAVELSAN, are participating in the exhibition. Roketsan is also the general sponsor of ADEX 2026.

Pavilion 5 opens for the first time in ADEX’s history

The exhibition’s growing international participation is also reflected in its exhibition space. For the first time in ADEX’s history, Baku Expo Center’s Pavilion 5 has been opened for use by the exhibition. The organizers view this step as one of the indicators of the exhibition’s growth in scale.

The exhibition showcases land, air and naval platforms, as well as unmanned systems, electronic warfare, C4ISR, aviation systems, armored vehicles, weapons and ammunition, optoelectronic systems, cybersecurity and various defense technologies.

Visitor interest expected to increase in 2026

The organizer has not yet announced an official total visitor target for ADEX 2026. However, the exhibition’s previous edition provides an important comparison.

ADEX 2024 hosted 9,304 visitors, 270 exhibitors, 14 national groups and 53 international military delegations. With increased company and country participation in 2026, the exhibition is expected to welcome a broader professional audience.

ADEX 2026 is primarily intended for professional visitors. Military personnel, security and law enforcement personnel, professionals working in the defense industry and related sectors, and students of military higher education institutions are eligible to attend.
